Is there any plan to update the name of the school to avoid confusion with the short form of Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (IAS)?

We would like to bring to your attention an issue regarding the short form of our organization’s name, Islamic Academy of Saskatoon (IAS), which coincidentally matches the short form of our esteemed umbrella organization, the Islamic Association of Saskatchewan (IAS). To eliminate any potential confusion between these two entities, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully updated our registered name to Saskatoon Islamic Academy (SIA).

We are grateful for the continuous support and assistance provided by the Islamic Academy of Saskatoon (IAS), Prairie Muslim Association (PMA) and Jamia Riyadul Jannah during this transition. Their guidance and collaboration have been invaluable.

We would like to express our deep gratitude to both the Muslim and non-Muslim communities across Saskatchewan for their overwhelming assistance and encouragement throughout the progress. Your support has been instrumental in our journey, and we are truly grateful.

The new name, Saskatoon Islamic Academy (SIA), better represents our educational institution and aligns with our mission to provide a nurturing and inclusive Islamic learning environment for our students.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Together, let’s build a bright future for Islamic education in Saskatoon, Ins Sha Allah.
